Sim Commander 3 Software Questions

The SimXperience Commander has an auto-updating feature. Each time the SimXperience Commander is started, it quickly checks to see if an update is available and offers you the opportunity to download and install the update at that time.

The option to update is presented on the Commander main screen for 45 seconds after the Commander is started. The option will be removed after 45 seconds to reduce screen clutter, but will appear again when the Sim Commander is restarted.

Left Clicking the update notification will autmatically install the update. Right Clicking the update will give you the opportunity to see update details before applying the update.

The Sim Commander 3 Motion Simulation Software provides a variety of possible screen arrangements requiring from 1 to 4 monitors.

The following configurations are supported:

  • Single/Dual/Triple Screens for Game and Commander 3
  • Single/Dual/Triple Screens for Game and Additional touchscreen Monitor for Commander 3 Control Center

An additional touchscreen monitor for displaying a dashboard can be added to any of the above configurations.

To achieve this, the Commander will remember the window sizes and positions that you set across monitors. Simply drag the Control Center or Dashboard window (if enabled) to whatever monitor you desire it on and size it to your preference. The Commander will save these positions and use them the next time the Commander is started or these windows are opened.

Unlike competing solutions, the Commander 3 will not take focus from the game while used on an additional monitor. This allows for realtime adjustments of your motion settings via an additional touchscreen while driving.

Users of Single Monitors will have to press Alt-Tab while in the game to return to their desktop and interact with the Commander to make motion adjustments.

Unfortunately Dirt 3 has a bug that causes it to crash at the end of each race when Telemetry Outputs are enabled. You can disable this at the cost of some effects by changing to the Dirt 3 No Telem Plugin in the Control Center-->Settings-->Games section of the Sim Commander software.

When your order was shipped, you should have received an email with your tracking number(s), assembly instructions, and your Commander license key.

If for some reason you did not receive this message you can simply contact a member of our support and reference your customer number or order number.

All of the settings on the Commander software can be restored to their default state in two ways.

1. Delete all the folders in C:\Users\username\Documents\SimXperience Commander 3. The next time you launch the Commander, it will start the software configuration wizard and reset all default settings.

2. Uninstall and reinstall the Commander.

If you have manually created a A SimSetup button and it does not function, you can refer to the following GUIDE to validate the settings.
